About
My name is Darryl, I am the owner and founder of Tranquility Landscaping. In 2019, I retired from my career in education in order to connect with nature working outside. Currently, I am a certified Residential Landscape Technician (RLT), and I created this company in 2023 to build on my vision for what a landscaping company could be. Professionalism. Sustainability. Quality. Innovation. Reliability. Integrity.
I love people and I love nature, and I love working for people in nature! I enjoy the feeling of working with strata councils and garden committee liaisons, the folks who often do thankless, tireless work for their communities, and I love working with homeowners who want to come home to a yard they’re proud of. I want working with us to be a positive experience for everybody.
I have a lot of fun at work, and I strive to make work fun for staff as well, because I believe the people doing the work deserve the same respect we give our clients. I feel like I have found a fountain of youth working outside in beautiful BC!
Our values
Quality
Quality is an established skill, not just a standard. Our supervisors are certified Residential Landscape Technicians, and their training guides every crew, so problems get caught before they become bigger (and more expensive) ones.
Sustainability
From cleaner-burning fuels and reducing noise from our equipment, to reusing on-site materials, we protect your budget and the environment at the same time. Even our grass clippings get a second life through a local food-growing partnership in North Vancouver. Learn more here.
Reliability
You ask, we get it done. No chasing, no back-and-forth. We build long-term relationships with the communities we serve, so you can stop worrying about your grounds and start enjoying them.
